I did say plush didn't I?

So glad you could make it!  Allow me to just set the stage by saying that Twelve Restaurant and Lounge (Twelve) is THE sexiest lounge and restaurant on Capital Hill, period.

From the moment you walk in you notice a plush suede sectional that invites you and will quite frankly keep you if you allow it.  The sounds of Neo-Soul, Jazz, Old-School and New School R&B permeate your vibes devouring your stresses of the day…because you have just been encountered with the Twelve experience!  The bartender, (experienced & pleasant) greets you, gives you “the nod” and a warm smile taking your drink request, leaving you with a menu filled with mouth watering delectable cuisine!  (Have the blackened salmon, you will thank me later!)

After you have colored your pallet and had your fill, you will most likely be entertaining another glass of your beverage of choice (try the Twelve Martini–delicious).  Now if you will allow me to take you on a tour of of the remaining elements of Twelve…

First off, if you go by what you see downstairs, you will probably be under the illusion that you are in a quaint venue, quite the deception!  After heading up (what seems to be 100 steps) you are greeting by over 2000 square feet of elegance.  The pearl white leather art deco sofas line one wall (complete with privacy curtains coffee tables and jumbo chocolate leather ottomans) of the hall-designed floor plan.  On your left a never ending glamorous bar which extends from the door to nearly the stage (at the opposite end of the lounge).   State of the art flat-screen TVs line the walls so you never have to miss “the game”!  As you peruse towards the stage there is a maze of tall granite top round tables coupled with bar stools…elegance people, that’s what I’m talking about!  Oh but there is more as we take a walk away from the stage to the opposite end of the lounge.

Now, I hope you are sitting:  you will arrive to a serious lounging area in shades of chocolate warming you to a bedroom, yes I said bedroom.  This bedroom is on a pedestal with a low privacy wall complete with a modern contemporary ROUND bed and flat screen TV.  Just imagine the enjoyment– the endless possibilities with this mash up of sexy people, fabulous music, bubbly, and the flair of this absolutely breath taking ambiance…

Twelve has the longest standing happy hour on H street (3pm – 8pm), and the drink specials– ridiculous!  For you Poetry enthusiasts, you don’t want to miss Wednesdays…it’s a Love Jones, kinda feel… (starts 6pm and ends 9pm).
